WILD AT HEART

‘This is a punch in the stomach sort of read. Dynamic, staccato sentences lead the reader into an anxiety induced state. The characters in this collection are not poignant people musing existential woes. They are people at the edge fighting for their lives! The writing aims to achieve directness and sense of urgency as well as raw honesty. Nothing is sugar coated or nuanced. The reality that hits you is elemental and solid. In every story/chapter there is a fatal meeting of a perpetrator and a victim. The violence is breath taking and racy and the amount of emotions invested are huge. If I have to choose one from the stories of would be Tell him to Run. Maximum impact and a fine example of the merits of unpretentious, direct writing that differentiates between the weak and tasteless sentimental and the raw humane and emotional. Very impressive.’
